Hi. I’m Tony.
I’m a storyteller based in Los Angeles with small-town roots in East Alabama. Growing up in a state marred by racial wounds, the human conditions fueling hostility drive my work.
Deploying around the world, as an Army Officer, and living throughout the US, while discovering my narrative voice, has helped me learn how love and empathy, when communicated effectively, can turn enemies into friends.
The most impactful moments on my journey all come with a story. I’m committed to sharing them in ways that tie humanity closer together.
I currently work as the Communications Director for the Nursing Homes Division of the California Department of Veterans Affairs in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. From 2022 to 2023, I spent 18 months in the Motion Pictures Talent Department at UTA while also completing my MFA in Screenwriting at the University of Miami. After leaving UTA, I pursued a year-long fellowship with the Veterans Writing Project at the Writers Guild of America Foundation.
When I’m not writing, I can be found outside soaking up the sun, day-dreaming about not getting eaten by alligators, and still managing to read the headlines inside a physical copy of Barron’s Magazine. I like to watch crime shows and Christmas movies with my wife, Olivia. Our kitchen usually smells like coffee, spinach, and donuts.
